We ended up being one of the last to leave the Off Road Park after a nice coffee and Danish breakfast supplied by the coffee sponsor of the event. Our next stop was going to be only about 100 miles to an RV park in Ft. Smith, AR. So, we took off thru the middle of the Ouachita National Forest on Hwy 270 and really enjoyed the drive. Good road and beautiful scenery. We arrived in the Riverfront RV Park along the Arkansas River by early afternoon. We go a spot in the back corner of the park overlooking the river. We were ready to hook up as the Off Road park had no waste water hookup, and after 5 days it was really needed.

The reason for the Ft. Smith stop was to see our grandson and family with our 2 great granddaughters. The youngest just had her 1st birthday last week which we missed but we arrived bearing gifts for all. The visit went well, and we got to spend time with them, but the weather didn’t allow us to go out much at all. But we got some needed photos with the girls and enjoyed the visit.

The next stop was also about 100 miles back east down I-40 to Conway where our other Arkansas family lives. Our daughter-in-law and other 2 grandsons have lived here for many years, and we have visited them often but usually by flying in for family events. We got caught up on grocery shopping and other sundries while we also helped her with some Spring gardening. We also stopped at a pinball arcade on our way to a catfish dinner at a place recommended by a couple we met at Lake Catherine waterfall.
Our stop was called Hilltop RV Resort off of Hwy 85 near Greenbriar, AR about 5 miles north of Conway. As the name suggests, it sits on top of a hill with a nice view back south and is not too big. We got one of the best spots with nothing blocking the view.
